Having started playing for Old Palmerian’s in 1980, FG joined the Peg at its inception back in 2000. Predominately playing in the second row, he had been known to take the number 8 position if close to the opposition try line. FG is probably best known for his ability to keep a driving maul moving, as well as his love for Premium Lager.

4. How did you join the Peg? Through Old Palmerians RUFC which I joined in 1980

5. When did you last score a try? Every night in my sleep

6. Most embarrassing moment on a rugby field? Pushing hard in the scrum has had unfortunate results

7. Who is the funniest team mate? Me. I’m the funniest man in the world

8. If you could be another teammate for a week who would you be and why? I love being me

9. Who has the best/worst banter at the club? Me/Fin after 4 pints of ale at the Thurrock Beer Festival

10. Best Trainer? Not really qualified to answer as I didn’t really do much training

11. Hardest Player? Big Gordon

12. Lastly, how many tours have you been on? 31 straight (although I can mince with the best of them)
