Littleton 2 Pelsall Villa 1

Pelsall Villa suffered a second successive league defeat against Littleton on Saturday at Five Acres, despite a spirit second half performance with 10 men.

The hosts took the lead midway through the first half when the officials awarded a penalty with what can only be described as a curious decision…
An early second half goal gave Littleton a two-goal lead and with the Villains being reduced to 10 men with 20 minutes to go, it looked like the game was gone for the visitors. However, sustained pressure saw Villa reduce the deficit when Jack Arrowsmith turned the ball home after a corner then several other chances fell the way of Pelsall which should have seen them at least get a deserved share of the points.

A frustrating afternoon ended with a 2-1 defeat and nothing to show for a good team performance in testing circumstances.

Pelsall Villa travel to league leaders Bromsgrove Sporting on Saturday 1st April looking to get a result at the unbeaten hosts.
