Pelsall Villa start the new season in Midland League Division 2 with a home fixture against Redditch Borough on Saturday, with the match being played at Walsall Wood F.C. home ground due to ongoing repairs at The Bush following the recent break-ins and arson attacks.
The Villa are looking for a strong start in their push to return to Division 1 at the first time of asking with manager Stephen Cooke pleased with progress following a strong pre-season.
The manager has called on the players to deliver on the pitch following recent issues that once again saw the club close to folding after multiple break-ins and an arson attack at their home ground in recent weeks.
Whilst work continues to repair the damage caused, the team will play a number of home fixtures at nearby Walsall Wood F.C.
Co-Chairman Darren Phillips has thanked Staffs FA, the league and Walsall Wood F.C. for their support and assistance which has allowed the club to continue and fulfill these fixtures.
