The Hilversum Tournament in Holland is run each year and has age groups U13, U15, U17 & U19.

We won the U13 tournament last year and wanted a crack at the U15's a year early.

11 teams entered the U15's tournament this year from Wales, England, Scotland, Holland, Germany and Luxemburg. The teams were split into two groups with one of 5 and one of 6 with the two group winners playing for the final.

We were in the group of 5 and the day unfolded as below.

All I can say is, tongue in cheek, you dirty German cheats. The Germans overpowered us up front and injuring three of our player. When Pat Lewis was through to score a try a German tripped him two footed football style, only to be yellow carded. They looked a big side for 15's but after the game they admitted they were an U16 side and had been put in the wrong age group.

These kids were more our size and it was pay back time for the cheating Germans. Penallta romped home with try's from.

These results left us secong in the group, finishing joint 3rd. Justice was done in the final when Mussleburgh from Scotland beat the Germans in the final. Three cheers for the Jocks.

As per usual everyone who pulled on the Penallta Jersey gave a good account of themselves. It was a pleasure touring with you all and it was a good experience for everyone, especially the day we went into Amsterdam.

Penallta's player of the tournament and weekend was the Chopper man. It was great to see Chopper hit the top of his game and playing with a smile on his face. Chopper was even doing a bit of showboating with his rugby skills and playing exhibition style rugby at times.

Plank of the tournament was definatly Lynne Lewis. The plank belonged to her. With sayings like.

Tyler are your legs ok now, after Tyler was pretending to be ill.
John how did you rip your jeans, when I wore ripped Jeans out.
