From what I have seen Penallta are the most successful Junior rugby league club in Wales.
The U17's win the league and Grande Final virtually every year and other age groups that participate are not far behind.
With the number of senior players we have at the club who have played rugby league at U17 for Penallta, we could now probably put a team together to challenge in the Senior Wales Rugby League and be very competative.
The senior Penallta Rugby Union coaches would understandably not be happy with a senior Penallta Rugby League team. However in my opinion, it is inevitably going to happen soon, so as a club we may as well all pull together and embrace the advantages.
Penallta Rugby union has something very special, where virtually every player who plays senior rugby for the club has played for Penallta youth. I don't know of any other club in Wales at Penallta's level who could say the same thing. This is unique in this era of rugby.
Penallta Junior Rugby League sides are also in the same mould. Most Junior rugby league sides in Wales tend to be regional sides made up of players from several different rugby union sides located in that area. Penallta are again unique at rugby league, where again we buck the trend and most Penallta rugby league players are home grown Penallta rugby union players.
That why John WE ARE THE PITMEN WE ARE THE BEST .
