Mitsubishi Motors Volunteer of the Year Awards
To recognise the hard working volunteers of Cumbria, Mitsubishi recently
held their ‘Volunteer of the Year’ Programme across the Country. There
have been around 30 of these Nationwide and Border Cars, Carlisle played
host again to the Cumbria event 2018.
RDO for Durham – Matt Bryan attended on behalf of the RFU and supported local members of Cumbria RFU Ltd in giving out the awards.
The overall winner was Lesley Whittle (Penrith RUFC). Lesley has been organizing all the youth
fixtures for Penrith RU despite being 250 miles away in Luton which has
been a huge but appreciated commitment. She now goes into the final with
other winners at an exclusive dinner at Twickenham in September. Good
luck to Lesley and a huge thank you to all our hard working volunteers!
