Paul Bell, England Squash & Racketball’s ‘Young Coach of the Year 2011’ is coming to Penrith Squash Club at Winters Park to give youngsters in the Eden Valley free squash coaching lessons throughout the summer holidays.
The free sessions will take place every Thursday in August, starting on the 2nd and finishing on the 30th. The 10am to 11 am ‘Mini Squash’ session is for ages 6-9 and 11am to 12md is 10-16. All equipment will be provided.
Paul has played squash since he was 7 years old and joined the England squad when he was only 12. He reached number five and is currently the Cumbria county champion and has represented Cumbria and Merseyside.
Richard Utting, Chairman of Penrith Squash commented by saying, ‘This is a brilliant opportunity for youngsters throughout the Eden Valley to get some top notch coaching by one of England’s top coaches. We are thrilled to able to support this initiative by England Squash and hope that youngsters will take this opportunity to experience a different sport’.
Paul commented by saying ‘Squash is an exciting game that encourages children to get on court and have fun. We use specialised equipment designed to help children learn the basic skills as well as develop coordination and balance. Mini Squash provides the ideal introduction to squash.”
