PENRITH TRAVEL TO SANDAL IN VAIN
GAME FALLS FOUL OF WINTER WEATHER
Penrith travelled to Sandal in hope of playing their league fixture arriving at 12.45pm. The pitch was clearly unplayable because of hard overnight frost but they warmed up hoping coditions improved before kick off at 2.15.
The decision was taken at 2.00 not to play the game as the ground showed little or no improvement from earlier. The game has to be replayed at the first available opportunity and that will be this Saturday(the 21st), as it is a blank league week, so that will be two trips to Sandal in a fortnight.
