Despite being thumped on two occasions earlier in the season by the
same side Penrith ran out easy winners this time out.
The Penrith forwards dominated from the off with Steve Dixon, Nick
Benson and Andrew Holcroft leading the field, they soon made their
superiority tell and tries came at regular intervals throughout the
first period and they led 29-0 at the break.
The visitors rallied in the second half and made Penrith's task a
little harder, fine tackling by Jonny Wills and tony lawless kept the
Penrith line intact and it was only after a Penrith player was carded
for ill discipline the home side galvanised their effort and got back
to what they had been doing so well. This led to the try of the game by
Joe Aris who ran 60m to score
After a poor start to the season for a number of reasons the 2nd's have
now recorded their third win on the trot and what is a very young side
can look forward to the rest of the season with some confidence.
