After weeks of speculation Manager Simon Sedgwick and his Coaching staff of Paul Dodd and Gareth Edwards have decided to stay at Penycae and build a side which can improve on last year's performance, and establish the club as a solid Huws Gray Cymru Alliance Team.
Sedgwick was delighted with the teams achievement last season, and avoiding relegation by a clear seven points. Victory in the final game of the season over Welsh Cup Finalists Cefn Druids was just the icing on the cake.
At present the management team are looking to set up a challenging pre-season schedule against some strong opposition, and Paul Dodd will no doubt put the squad through a punishing fitness regime to make sure they are all ready to face the new season.
The squad will probably see some changes as Sedgwick looks to strengthen the side to make it more competitive than it was previously. A number of players have been invited to pre-season training sessions, and discussions are ongoing to show what Penycae FC has to offer to prospective players.
Further improvements to the facilities at Afoneitha Road, will hopefully be matched by improvements on the pitch as well.
