This Saturday, Percy Main will host Seaton Delaval at Purvis Park in the first round of the Team Valley Challenge cup competition - contested by the Northern Alliance's Premier division clubs only.

Interestingly, (or probably not) this will be the 4th consecutive season that the sides have met at the first stage of either the Challenge of the League cup, which take place in September each year.

September 2015, saw Seaton Delaval edge a 3-2 league cup thriller after extra time, in which Stew Wright and Joe Betts had netted The Main's counters, while a year later, fortunes were reversed as Percy Main won another league cup tie 2-1, Betts struck again, a minute from time and Jack Pearson scored the Percy Main opener.
Last season, Delaval won the Challenge cup tie 3-2 and Sam Thompson scored a couple of penalties for us. Hopefully we'll see another good game today.

Please note - the game will kick off at the earlier time of 2pm and will be decided on the day, with extra time and penalties to be taken if necessary.
