New Colts Coaching Team Announced for Season 2018-19
Perthshire Rugby are delighted to announce that Campbell Watson will be taking over as the Colts Head Coach for season 2018-19. Campbell has previously coached the boys up to the U16 level but took time out last year to focus on his role as Club Coach Co-ordinator (CCC).
Campbell is also a UKCC Level 2 coach and has spent the year shadowing and supporting Caledonia Regional Training Centres and UKCC Level One courses.
In his role as CCC, Campbell is integral to the continued integration of the Scottish Rugby Technical Blueprint principles into the training and playing of all our teams. His understanding of these principles also makes him the ideal candidate to coach the Colts.
We are also delighted that Team Manager, Graham Twaddell and coach, Simon Johns are staying on to support Campbell and the players. The Development Team and DoR, Andy Cummins will also have coaching roles within the programme.
Perthshire Rugby would also like to thank the Colts coaching team from last year of Lewis Knox, Barry Davidson, Simon McCaig and Charlie Collie for all their time and effort throughout last season. Barry is moving into a wider role within Perthshire supporting coaches on Long Term Player Development whilst Simon and Charlie look forward to watching their sons take their steps into Senior Rugby. Best of luck to Lewis who has taken a role as backs coach with Blairgowrie RFC.
