Colts win at Lasswade

Colts finish first ten games of League in style beating Lasswade 71-7 to leave Perthshire in sixth place in League

U18s Last week the team travelled to Lasswade for an Edinburgh League fixture, Having had inconsistent results and a few players leaving over the last few weeks it was essential for the team to put in a good performance to boost the morale of the players and the coaches. Lasswade RFC have benefitted from a recent property deal and have landed with extremely well laid out facilities from Clubhouse to Pitches and are probably the best I have seen anywhere and with the sun shining the venue could not have been better.
Perthshire Colts had a full squad and after a pre match chat from the coaches everyone seemed to be good spirits and up for a game.
Craig Patterson took over the Captains role and with Stewart Seaton taking responsibility of taking the kicks they got themselves organised to start. Within mins of the kick off Perthshire were in front and it became clear that Shire would be hard to stop. With Ross Dougan back in the side after injury showed he was the right choice as pack leader encouraging the rest of the forwards on. Danny Scott and Craig Hodge also made returns after long absences. By half time the game was over with Perthshire racking up a huge score which gave Stewart plenty of practice kicking which he did very well. After half time we put all the Subs on together and everyone got a decent amount of game time.
This result sets us up well for this Saturdays National Cup fixture against Grangemouth this is an away game and the bus will leave Bells at 10.45am.
