A good representation from Mini, Midi and Senior Sections met at the first club Rugby Performance Group meeting of the year.Development Officers Rory Mckay and Chris Pacey outlined the team development objectives and the coach education outline for the next month.
Coaching teams will be asked to identify an area for improvement in both their attacking and defensive team structures and then devise a months programme which will ,hopefully, produce a progression from their current standards of play. In addition, each coaching group will have to devise a method of trying to measure the improvement over the month period.
During the next month the Coach Education team will then observe sessions at each of the age groups, providing feedback to individual coaches, but also providing particular feedback on the coaching teams monthly target programme.
This is a challenging activity set by the Development team ,but with the numbers, experience and enthusiasm of the current coaching teams, it was felt it was totally appropriate to push coaches and their playing squads onto higher standards of play and team development.
