Perthshire Rugby's James Fleming named in Scotland 7s Squad for Commonwealth Games

James Fleming has been named in Head Coach John Dalziel's Scotland 7s squad to compete at the Commonwealth Games, Gold Coast 2018.

Before travelling to the Gold Coast, James will be departing for Hong Kong to compete in the seventh leg of the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series (6-8 April). James is also a finalist for Sports Personality of the Year at tonight's Perth & Kinross Sports awards.

Allan Brown, Perthshire Rugby Chief Executive, said, "As one of the most experienced members of the Scotland 7s squad & leading try scorer, we look forward to witnessing more great tries from James in Hong Kong & the Commonwealth Games in Australia. We wish him & the squad every success & look forward to welcoming him back to the Club on his return".

James was nominated for the Sports Personality of the Year award by Perthshire Rugby for his outstanding achievements in 2017 on the field - scoring & surpassing 100 tries for Scotland and for his support of our club activities last season.
