The eagles collected the win and bonus point with a strong display in the final 10 minutes of the game but there has to be plenty of praise for the Alloa team who proved stubborn in defence and eager to attack wide when the opportunity arose.There were plenty of positives for Coaches Watson and McDonald as good set piece allowed plenty of gain line breaks in the 1st phase and there should have been two additional scores were it not for to slightly forward passes just before the gain line.
Dan Rae scored the try of the day when he collected the ball deep in his own half and counterattacked on the left hand side of the pitch. Good acceleration and some great footwork left him one on one with the opposition full back and he sped on the outside to finish a fantastic solo effort.
There is a break next weekend but the rearranged fixture against Glenrothes will be played the weekend after.
