Over the last 6-8 months the club coaches and committee have been working towards achieving the Scottish Rugby Positive Coaching Accreditation Award which is supported by the Bill McLaren Rugby Charity Foundation. To date coaches from all age groups have made a thorough review of the current development and coaching programme and with an input of Senior Club officials have considered the key themes and objectives of the club and the vision for the future generations to come. A considerable amount of time and effort has been invested by all parties and the final presentation will be made at the end of this month to allow all club members to comment on the final recommendations and documentation.

The award has National and International recognition and to date there are only 10 clubs to have achieved this notable mark, and in recognition of the development work already completed by the club the Bill McLaren Foundation invited the club to host this year`s charitable dinner which was held at the Concert Hall two weekends ago, and part of the money raised will be donated to the club to help continue its development programme.

However, to celebrate the Accreditation and the tremendous work achieved by all our coaches, players, volunteers and parents who have decided to hold an event which will involve the whole club and those willing to join in our celebration from the Fair City.
