Juggers at Deeping
Juggers travel to Deeping for 2017 Memorial Match
The Juggers (minus a few regulars, but with a few youth, and that includes you JT), travelled to Deeping to play the 2017 memorial match. It looked as if 95% of the entire Deeping senior squad was available !
The first half was a bit of a messy affair, with heavy showers and the long grass (similar to a meadow) making handling difficult. We also allowed ourselves to get too involved in trying to do things as individuals, and not relying on the teamwork which has served us so well.
Enough to say that at half time we were down by 17 to 7. The squad was further rotated while the half time port was consumed.
The second half was a bit more like it. we looked better going forward and in defence. We drew the second half two tries each, but the final score was Deeping 31 Juggers 17, and ultimately, a great game to be a part of.
Apologies, but I have no idea who scored, but they were very good tries (obviously).
Thanks to Deeping for the game, played in an excellent spirit, as always and to our referee.
Special thanks to JT, having a run out with his dad, but please, no more kicking, especially penalties. Thanks also to Connor, a rock in defence and threat in attack., the Bailey Brothers, Phill Fernie and finally to Mrs Keane for allowing Dave to have a run out with Myles and James and hopefully you are able to complete your 102 mile (yes, 102 mile) bike ride today.
Thanks all folks.
