McKenzie Ponsford broke the deadlock late in the first half of the Peterborough & District Junior Alliance League Division clash.
And Star hit the goal trail with a vengeance after the interval with two Carlos Ribeiro goals and a Finlay Bennett penalty putting them in command before the hosts nicked a goal back.
But that was only a minor hiccup as a Leo Barraco brace fired Star to an emphatic win as they remain top of the table and in possession of the only remaining unbeaten record in the division.
There was a first defeat of the season for Star Under 16s in Division One of the Peterborough & District Youth League as they went down 2-1 at Wisbech St Mary.
Star saw an effort scrubbed out as the referee was unable to see clearly whether or not the ball had crossed the line and salt was rubbed into their wounds as the hosts hit the front moments later.
A second goal for the Saints followed in the second half before Kyle Townsend halved Star's arrears.
But they couldn't find a leveller to leave boss Marvin Bennett admitting: "We must learn to take our chances and not let decisions stop us from focusing on what we need to do."
