Petersfield welcomed Chichester for this, their 1st match of the season.
Petersfield found themselves on the back foot, as Chichester opened the scoring with a try in the first 5 minutes of the match. Field dug deep against a strong Chichester pack, and replied within 7 minutes with a try with centre James Wise outpacing Chichester from Field's own half. Field found their form and the tries began to flow, with a further 2 from James and a superb try from Ben Hanlan at Fullback. With 1 successful conversion and a penalty kick from Flyhalf Harry Tremlett, Field ended the 1st half in the lead 25 - 10.
Once again, Chichester were quick from the start and scored following some superb rucking and mauling, distributing the ball quickly out to score a fantastic converted try. Field's Captain Ed Goodale fired the team up and within 3 minutes Winger Stuart Wiggs, dodged and spun through 4 Chichester players to score a fantastic try. The forwards worked tirelessly and secured ball at the lineouts and scrums and quickly James Wise scored his 4th try of the match under the posts, which Tremlett neatly converted. A further try from Tremlett and penalty kick, left Field at the final whistle with a solid win under their belts of 45 - 22.
