Phantom Nominated
Phantoms Veteran David Yems nominated for Voluntery Commitment Award.
Veteran Phantom David Yems has been shortlisted in the Volunteer Section for the Canary Wharf Group Sports personality of the year awards.
The Ceremony is to be held on Thursday 2nd February 2012 in the East Winter Garden in Canary Wharf.
"David has commited 9 years of his life to the club and is the main reason the club still remains in existence. He has played in nearly every position on the field and held nearly every committee post. Being a former club captain and currently filling in for Jay Briganti while injured David thorougly deserves this recognition. It is only fitting that this nomination comes in David's final season with the club. He will be sorely missed" commented Club Chairman Martin Heavey and David's friend of over 30 years.
