In the relatively short history of Phantoms Rugby, the club has been known as East London Phantoms and most latterly Phantoms RFC. The next stage of the evolution of the club sees us partner with our friends at Birkbeck University to create Birkbeck Phantoms RFC. This is a move which is designed to provide a surge in player numbers, an increase in number onto the committee and a fresh perspective and impetus in the direction the club is moving in.

This arrangement, which we see as truly beneficial for both clubs, one which will provide a stable platform for the new merged club to progress and challenge at the top of the new Essex RFU Merit Table Division Six (West).

The club will be aiming to communicate over the Summer to as many former players as possible to discuss how they can become part of the Phantoms Rugby family again, be that in the form of an occasional game or a longer term commitment.
