It was the first real difficult week for the Pitshanger senior teams as 3 wins and 3 draws represented a very meagre return for the first time this season - it would not have been that bad in the recent past but we have grown accustomed to a large number of wins every week so it hurts!!
Top performances were from the U15A's, the U13B's and first of all the U11A's who dominated Parkfield in beating the 8-1 and that is no mean feat with Chris Alunowski scoring four and Philip Lennart getting two. The U15A's continued to climb up the table win an impressive 3-0 win away at Actual Soccer with golas shared by Evander Afonso, Harmandeep Shani and Aaron Edwards whilst the U13B's continued to demonstrate that they were fast becoming the club's most improved team with an exciting 5-4 win away at Hillingdon which set pulses racing as Pits were 5-0 up at half time and nearly got caught at the end. Zeeshan Anjum was again on target with two goals.
And what about our two 100-percenters...well they are still unbeaten but both had to come from behind to earn late draws. The u17A's drew 2-2 at Hayes with goals from William Hick and Sam Pompilis whereas the U16A's, reduced to 10, had Jeremy Lochead to thank for slotting a last minute penalty in a 1-1 draw against London Tigers. On the adjacent pitch at Scotch Common, the U16B's were involved in an exciting 3-3 draw against West Drayton with Paolo Pisano scoring a brace.
Elsewhere it was a story of near missess as the U18's lost 5-3 to Dragons, The U15B's 4-3 to Eagles, the U14's disappointingly 2-0 at home to Actual Soccer and the U13A's could not stop high flying Kodak winning 4-2.
The U17B's and U11B's suffered heavy defeats and must regroup before next week's round of fixtures.
