True Club Respect on Remembrance Sunday

I just wanted to share with you an experience at my game yesterday morning that put everything about our game
In perspective.
Having seen most things in my time in the game, I would like to praise the teams and management of Pitshanger B
And FC Kensington under 16s for the immaculate way in which everyone honoured the minutes silence yesterday.
I stopped the game at 11 am during the first half yesterday- the situation was made poignant by the fact that one
Of the  Pitshanger players had tragically lost his mother this year- I knew that and so knew how difficult it was for
Him at the stoppage.
The way in which both sets of players and management stood motionless for that minutes silence will remain with me for as long
As I live and I cannot thank Pitshanger and FC Kensington enough for their impeccable actions in remembrance.
The player concerned came up to me at the end of the game to thank me for the way it was handled. I have to
Admit that I had a lump in my throat and shed a tear.
In this day and age certain things get to you- this did yesterday and I would again like to thank personally
Everyone at Pitshanger and FC Kensington for all they did to ensure a fitting tribute to everyone now departed in life.
I hope I have the honour of refereeing these two sides on Remembrance Sunday 2012.

Keith
