Buoyed by an early victory against Devonport High School Old Boys, PlymVic look to continue the improvements seen at the beginning of this league season when they travel to Old Plymothian and Mannamedians on Saturday.

After a losing bonus point against an in form North Tawton, Vics will be looking to iron out the issues that cost a possible second bonus point or even victory against the North Devon team as Plympton were only 4 points behind with 5 minutes to go when Tawts run in 2 late tries.

In what will prove to be a tough fixture with promotion chasing OPM’s, Vics will be looking to implement the coaching of Mark Watson and Colin Robertson were ball retention and defence will be of utmost importance this week.
Despite having picked up a long term injury to new backs Jake Noyce and Luke Ambrose, Plympton will be looking to field a strong side, welcoming back Chris Barrett and Sean Slater who are now available for Saturday duties.

Team Manager Chris Hunt said “this weekend will be one of the tougher games of the season against a team I know were gutted they did not get promoted last year, so they will be out to put in a good performance. We must play with the same grit, determination and diligence to the game plan as we have for the last two matches and we have a good chance of getting a return. The team has come a long way since the beginning of last season and is starting to gel together and gain confidence in themselves and their team mates but I know there is yet more achievement to be had out of this group of players.”

The game will kick off at 1430 on Saturday 11th November at King George 5th Field.
