Two unlucky scores for Oaks

It was good for the 2nd XV being able to field a lot of young players, and in certain aspects of the game, the future does indeed seem bright for Oaks rugby. However, silly unforced errors and ill disciplined play cost the seconds the game. They went down 23-17 to a strong Plymouth Barbarians second team.

The colts lost to Kingsbridge colts 12-3, despite dominating most aspects of the game.

Next week the firsts are away to Topsham in the second league fixture of the season. Oaks are expecting to play a strong outfit and will hopefully have a full strength side to pick from. Topsham where promoted from Devon 2 last season coming up with Torpoint, but we are expecting a tougher test from them than we had from Torpoint, as it seems they beat last years runners up Wessex RFC in the National cup.

The seconds and colts both have friendlies, the colts are home to Wadebridge, while the second team are home to Old Techs.
