Lads hit by late winner in local derby
In a feisty local derby it was Cwmamman who stole the points with a late winner
Town matched Cwmamman United in all areas in a local derby watched by a big crowd
With the home side looking to secure another 3 points on their march to promotion it was up to the Town lads to make them work for it
The home side took the lead in the first half through a Ryan Thomas goal, his 4th against Town this season, but this was equalised by the excellent Tyler Brock
Sam Brown had a great chance in the second half for Town and it was he was fouled in the build up to the United goal which saw Brieg Matthews net despite Town appealing to match official Teifion Cook for a foul early on in the play
Town searched for an equaliser and should have had a penalty when defender Josh Medwin deliberately elbowed Town's Luke Harris but the match officials bottled it and refused to give a penalty late on. It was a poor incident which left Luke Harris with a broken nose.
So United march on to Aberbargoed with promotion in mind while Town go to West End looking to gain the win that will allow us to finish in 9th place.
