Ponteland Golf Classic

Whilst much needed rain fell on the club pitches the gods again looked on favourably as the weather stayed windy but fine for the intrepid band of golf warriors. Andy Crawford won the shield whilst Paul Appleby again laid waste to all before him to retain the blue Cagoule. He now joins a select band of multiple winners for a trophy only slightly behind the green jacket in golfing history.
