Portishead Town will be looking to put a 4-0 boxing day defeat at Cheddar behind them when they travel to Wells City in the Toolstation Western League Division One on Saturday. Posset were full of confidence going in the festive period following some good performances and a first win in months at home to high flying Wellington but they were soon brought back down to earth when a depleted squad were beaten on boxing day. They will be looking to put things right on Saturday in their new year quest to avoud finishing bottom of the division.
If the rumours are true Posset could be boosted by the return of an ex fans favourite and fast food extraordinaire to Bristol Road.

Portishead Town Reserves are currently 5th in the Somerset County League Division Two West and will need to pick up three points away at lowly Burnham United Reserves if they are to keep pressure on the top four in their bid for promotion. Portishead Town Colts will see Saturdays fixture with lowly South Park Rangers as a warm up to arguably their biggest game of their season and manager Garry Hewitts life next week when they face local rejects Portishead Calidoeniun Fissle.
