With the clocks going back, and the wintery weather already something of the past, the club start to look forward to the summer, and I wanted to share a couple of important dates for your diaries.

On Sunday 24th June, the club will be hosting its first PAFC 7-side tournament at Victoria Rec (kick off of 1st game 10:00). The final will kick off at 12:00 for the inaugural PAFC 7-side tournament trophy, then it will be straight to the pub in time for England to kick off against Panama in the 2018 World Cup at 13:00. There will be an additional BBQ to fill rumbling bellies and a meat raffle, a regular Sunday slot at The Battle of Trafalgar. This is not a PAFC exclusive tournament, so I will be reaching out to some other clubs and I hope that it will interest some players looking to play more regular football as the season resumes. If you are interested in entering a team, please get in touch.

This summer also sees the return of the PAFC golf handicap championships. After Dave Goffin took home the PAFC golf handicap championship in 2015, midfield maestro wannabe and club captain Dan Rahaman is sending out a challenge to anyone who will listen. At the moment, I would like to get an idea of interest, so dates and venues subject to confirmation. Please let me know if you wish to participate, and indicate any pre-booked holiday arrangements in the summer.

Finally, and most certainly not least, I have it under good authority that Trend productions are returning to the big screen at this seasons PAFC awards night, which could see the return of Meme of the season, stalker of the season, and the club famous Mouldies.
