The Little Ginger Coconut applies for the vacant England job

This is a genuine email Nozinhio sent to the FA...

Good Afternoon,

I would like to register my interest in the recently vacated National Team Coach role.

I am currently managing in the Brighton, Hove and District Premier League with Portslade Athletic. This season is only my second as a manager . However, I have been involved within the game for over 20 years. My knowledge of the sport is vast, while no coaching badges are held by myself this should not be a factor due to my expansive knowledge of the game.

On a personal note, I come with an incredible amount of passion, something that has been missing for some time, not only will I lead the team I will also be their number one "fan". I believe in playing football the right way, a balance between attractive football whilst installing the necessary desire to be a winner. I am not interested in the "pretty passive passing" styles of the likes of Swansea and Arsenal, but the direct and assertive passing style of Barcelona and Brighton that brings success. I am also a strong believer in youth, not only will it capture the imagination of the public, but the innocent confidence of a fledgling international can spread throughout. I would add though that I am not a fan of Chelsea and as such could not give any consideration to their English born players, I have no time for trouble makers or money grabbers. (There is a possibility that I may lift this ban for Frank Lampard as I quite rate him.)

It is only right that I point out that I am also not a "yes man" I will stand by my beliefs and would expect, if appointed, to be backed by the FA as a whole, we must be united in my beliefs.

My availability at present is unclear we have 6 games remaining in our season, starting with CCK this weekend (weather permitting), I will need to feel satisfied that a suitable replacement is found for Portslade Athletic before I can commit full time to your role. I would be looking for a salary of around £500k a year, I realise my lack of experience and therefore have not demanded more than I feel is suitable. Given the impending success that I would bring I feel this is a more than reasonable sum. I have already considered my coaching team but we can discuss their terms at a later time.

I have no doubt you will receive a number of hoax applications but I must ask that you take this one seriously, you are being offered a man that brings knowledge, belief, desire and above all else a guarantee of positive results and the delivery of silverware.

I will also submit this application by post today to ensure it is official and would be grateful if you could reply in kind for my paper records.

Many thanks and I look forward to hearing from you.

Regards.

Any hostile approach for the sevices of our 1st X1 Manager will be both unwelcome and entirely unexpected. Any such enquiry will be met with a firm rebuttal and much hilarity. In any event should the FA want to speak with our highly rated manager I trust they will approach me first and not go behind my back. I will of course decline such a request (unless they are prepared to make an 'investment' in a Monaco bank account in the name of Pippin56-one our rabbits names and my year of birth).

I had a look at your birth certificate and sadly as the FA are looking for an English manager it turns out you were born on the isle of Mann (not really english) and can confirm you have six toes and are webbed on each foot, the attributes of a backward yokel of a manx man...on the plus side its a tax haven so fill your boots
