It's a sad day to report that club stalwart John Taylor passed away last week as reported at the AGM on Thursday night.

Johnners was a lovely man. He arrived at the club via Cheshunt when his son Mark joined the parish in the early 90's from memory and scored for the 1st team and 2nd team for more than 15 years.

Like most good folk, Johnners would turn his hand to most things, be it painting, scorebox improvements, fence repairs, anything to help out and did so without so much of a moan - anything to help out a trait thats rare in this day and age.

John loved his sport. Arsenal was his main love and would love to wax lyrical over a pint of bitter (and twisted) as folk would look over his scorebook, desperately trying to find an error, but few ever did which made him immensely proud.

Johnners funeral will be held on Thursday 15th November 2018 at Southgate Crematorium at 9.30am and thereafter back at the club for a few beers and time to remember a genuinely nice man.

To the entire Taylor family our thoughts are with you and Johnners' may you Rest in Peace
