History in the making

I know most of you will be aware, but tomorrow, if we beat Barking, in the final Bostik League Division One game, we will be promoted automatically, to the Premier Division, by finishing second.

Coming top is normally important, but this season, AFC Hornchurch have led the pace to win the League, that every other Club has being vying for the 2nd to 6th places, and it will go to the wire, as four sides could still finish second.

But it is now in our hands, and everyone who has come to support us this season, is urged to try to get to Barking and give us that final support.

Even if we fail to win, because Barking is a tough ground to go to, we will still be in the Play-Off Semi-Final, on Wednesday.

We have never been in the Play-Offs before, let alone challenging for automatic promotion, and in this unprecedented and historic season, every Club record at Step 4 has been broken.

The match is being videoed for the Club and then hopefully the highlights will be available online later Saturday night and the Isthmian League will be there too to report on the game.

It has been an outstanding season and we are all very proud of the Management and Players and we will all want to wish them the very best, to complete the season in style.

‘Up the Scholars’

Kind regards

Peter
