'Scholars' come back for a deserved point

Much needed and well deserved point as Bar come from behind

The 'Scholars' come from two goals down to earn a hard earned, well deserved point.

After a first half goal from Jimmy Muitt, the 'Scholars' looked to be dead and buried just five minutes into the second half as the same player converted from the penalty spot.

But a spirited reaction to being undeservedly behind saw Bar produce some sparkling football to take a share of the points.

Scott Cousins introduced 'new boy' Ben Ward-Cochrane in the 63rd minute and within a minute we were back in the game. BW-C latching on to a through ball to slip the ball past the keeper.

Ten minutes later, after a spell of Scholars pressure, Sean Graced ran on to a clearance from the home defence to lash the ball in from well outside the area.

Bar were back in it and pushed forward for a winner but keeper Dan Lincoln pulled off several great saves to deny the visitors what everyone agreed would have been a deserved victory.
