Two second half goals saw the visitors fight back to earn their fifth draw of the season away from home in a thoroughly entertaining game.
The Scholar went in at half time with a well deserved 2-0 lead but that could very easily have been more as Bognor struggled to cope with the pace and strength of the Bar front men.
Bognor opened brightly with Tommy Block producing a fine save from Berkley Laurencin as early as the first minute but it was Potters Bar who looked the more dangerous in the opening exchanges.
The Scholars looked to have a fair claim for a penalty in the tenth minute for a two-handed shove on Billy Adcock in the box. But with the Rock fans holding their breath and their heads in their hands, the ref waved play on.
Two minutes later Bar were in front as Eoin Casey rose at the back post as the Bognor keeper hesitated and failed to cut out Keegan Coles corner.
As half time approached the lead was deservedly doubled as Keegan Cole struck home an excellent free kick from outside the box.
Bognor came out fighting early in the second half and were soon back in the game. Daniel Smith took advantage of a loose pass in midfield and raced clear before shooting low and just inside the right post with only Laurencin to beat.
The Scholars almost extended the lead on 69 minutes but Keegan Cole, through on goal was thwarted by a goal line clearance from Tommy Block.
Further chances fell to the industrious Dernell Wynter and Femi Ogunsola for the home side but Bognor got their equaliser when Harvey Whyte on 78 minutes cut inside and hit a curling shot inside the left post to draw Rocks level.
