Scholars' ground out a vital win
Romford belied their bottom of the table position but underlined why they are bottom when they were not able to take the opportunities they created in the game.

After an even opening half hour the deadlock was broken on 32 minutes when Michael Murray played in Lee O'Leary whose shot took a deflection of a defender falling into the path of Eoin Casey to fire home.
Taking the lead settled the home team and When Michael Murray played in Eoin Casey on the stroke of half time from the edge of the box his low shot beat the keeper but also the far post.
Berkley Laurencin finger tipped a good save onto the top of the bar and away for a corner as the visitors looked to get back in the game as the second half got underway.
But Eoin Casey finished off another set piece when he headed home at the far post from a Michael Murray free kick on 59 mins.
But the visitors kept plugging away and pulled one back on 73 mins through Jonathon Nzengo firing home from the edge of the box.
But they could not find an equaliser and the 'Scholars' secured all three points from a hard working, gritty performance.
