Batting first on a wet track Poulton started cautiously,Josh Gray batted throughout most of the match having to retire after scoring his 25 runs and having to return at the end of the innings, he batted calmly waiting for the odd bad bowl but defending resolutely when challenged.

Michael & Matthew Ferrara both batted with a natural flair and hit boundaries. The rest of the team struggled, apart from a Guy Floyd cameo innings in the middle, and the team finally scored 87 all out.

In return Cheltenham started well but good tight bowling from Joe Bell & Michael Ferreira had Cheltenham on the back foot.

Matthew Ferrara then bowled beautifully for 3 overs only getting the one wicket but deserving more with his high class leg spin.

Dan Burgess on debut skittled two vital wickets in one over.

Needing 8 off the last two overs Cheltenham squeezed past the 87 in a tight evenly-contested match played in great spirit by both teams!
