Match Report
Oldershaw 2’s 24-7 Prenton 3’s
1st Half
With all the uncertainty and new players it would of been easy to go into this downhearted, but for those who watched (thanks for your support, it’s greatly appreciated) or the lads playing I’m sure all will agree, Prenton started the much stronger team, Tackles flying in, big strong runs throughout the team... 1st half was Prenton on top and it’s credit to the Oldershaw defence which held out on their own line on numerous occasions that the game was 0-0 up until about 25 mins when Oldershaw carved out a try with some great creativity 7 - 0. A special mention to the Prenton Pack as they where really strong and where turning ball over at Will...
2nd Half
No excuses, no Coulda/Shoulda beens... Experience from Oldershaw came through and some indecisiveness in Prenton’s Ranks seen Oldershaw score 3 further try’s taking the game to 24 - 0
Pure Pride, Passion, seen walking injured, lads who were not to sure about positions they were meant to be in STEP UP Prenton finished with 13 men but also finished the game the aggressors and better team which was rewarded when Ste Mole went over with the kick being made by Paul Curran
Final Score 24 - 7
MOTM- Kane awarded by Andy Gale
