Recent home 1st XV fixtures have been marred by unruly behaviour by home supporters. Whilst it is appreciated that there is a certain amount of frustration, abusive language and advise to the referee on how to run the game will not be tolerated by Prenton RUFC committee.
Prenton currently have a sound relationship with the referee society, however if the behaviour by supporters this relationship may well be called into question.
The 1st XV are currently struggling and comments from the sideline can effect morale on the pitch, please, please continue your support but encouragement from the side is much better for struggling players to hear rather than negative comments.
We are all disappointed at how this season has panned out but like the Phoenix, we will rise again, as has the 2nd XV who currently are on a great run of form.
I thank all supporters for attending matches and would like to see more club members on the sideline cheering the teams on.
