Match Report
Prenton 2's Vs Capenhurst (15-22)

This was the game that was meant to show what Prenton 2's where about, put a marker down on any of the teams in and around these Top 2 teams in Div 4.... The Score line indicated a close battle, and 1 that will indeed get other teams sitting up and asking the question about this team who only got promoted from the 5th last season, and how they ran a very compact, 1st Team within a converted try... Lots of positives to take from the Game, Lee Miller scoring a wonder try that had everyone cheering and even a couple of the Capenhurst Lads showed their appreciation for such a wonderful solo try, Seeing the lads battle and Dig in, is really becoming something that Alan Holmes Finbarr James & Ste Flint have got drilled into thd lads, The Pod System is something that the 2's do well and this showed with few turn overs from lack of support... 4 of Capenhurst lads where subbed with injurues due to the power of the tackles being dished out from Prenton 2's, Lads standing Toe to toe backing each other, is a trait that with my Service background had me smiling from Ear to Ear all 18 lads...

NEGATIVE - For anyone that was at the game or involved, witnessed 1st hand the real truth---- we had 3 players who stepped in last minute from a team in Our 3's league (thanks lads) without these we would of had a bare 15, The game only ever came a contest when the scrums went uncontested due to 2 injuries to props, we where 14-0 down at the time and if the game had stayed contested, we would of been on a hiding to none, As soon as it was uncontested our Backs got Ball and we where the better team ( 15-8 to Prenton when the scrum went uncontested) the lads we played against obviously had years of experiance and where very good ( average age of the 3 props we had yesderday 19-20, was speaking with Terry Baker after the game and his experiance would definately be valuable @ 1 more season mate) Difference in their Front Row and Ours was they where drilled (training training Training)

lots of injuries, and people with other commitments at present but it really is a lift when u hear someone is back just like having Rob S back after his injury away at Hoylake 2's earlier in the season... Come on lads ""YOU"" can be that boast!!!

Jay Andrews playing his last game for the club and didn't hold back with some of his gut busting runs ( you'll be missed pal)
Mark Asp & Barry Horton re-ignited their Marriage of Hate for each other (joke) on the field (Funny at times you 2)
We can move Forward individually and collectively as a Team/Club but without each and everyone doing their bit things will only get worse..

Skippers (Ste Flint)
MOM - Barry Horton, (just glad u got rid of all the none catches pre game)
TOTM - Jay Andrews, Always going his way but putting Deep heat on the outside of his top "As it will soak in" didn't help pal
