Preston Lodge are trying something new on Thursday night as for the first time, we are going to field an Under 20 side in a match against Crags Crusaders.

A few players aged under 20 are already regulars in the senior 1st XV and some, including Raymond Mackie, Paul Dixon, Jonny Sked, Blair Robertson, Paul Glynn, Munro Third and Jordan Eales have played in most of the league and cup games so far.

They will be joined in the squad tomorrow night with others from the U18 and U16 squads so it promises to be a exciting showcase of young talent and hopefully some great rugby will be seen.

The Crags Crusaders are a side made up from Edinburgh University students who do not necessarily want to play regular league rugby but they have some talented players nonetheless.
