Project Clapham Football Club

First up we’re at home to Merton tomorrow in an absolutely huge game for the club, which can effectively put us on the brink of promotion. I cannot overstate what an achievement that would be for a club that is set up like ours. It’s at Tolworth Court, home turf, and promises to be a decent occasion. The bar will be open and the weather looks good so get in the mix if you’re keen; there’ll be post Tolworth beers in the Railway Clapham as well for those up for it!

Sunday and it’s the Cup Final! Cheers for all those coming, it is massively appreciated and is a HUGE day for the club! Couple of reminders on the details, the coach will leave at midday from ours (SW12 8QT) so aim for 11.30, 11.45 ish…it’s got the players on so will have to leave on time chaps; the train is best route for those that are late!! For those not on the coach the directions to the theatre of glory are here: THE ARENA As said there’s no fixed dress code but try and make an effort…players will be smart, gradually decreasing as the night wears on, and there’s a few going in fancy dress of all sorts of themes. Club colours are Black, Gold and White for those who didn’t know! After the game we’ll hang around at the place until about 17.30 and the coach’ll bring us back to the Underdog at Clapham Common for live music, dancing, huddles, the waltzer, shared clapping, singing and general fun and festivities. Regardless of the result it’s been an exceptional year and this is a good chance to celebrate this, however we’ll certainly be looking to bring the trophy home!

Ell sent an email about the coach cash wednesday…if you do get a chance to pay up front please please do as it helps it’s with cashflow…we fund the club and everything that goes with it ourselves so the less overdrawn it is the better! If anyone is not coming by coach let me know asap as we’re overbooked at the minute…list as far as I’m aware is as on facebook!
