History

Founded as Prudhoe Hospital RUFC in 1982 by an ambitious young group of hospital staff, the club would reside in Prudhoe for 16 years until its relocation to Stocksfield Cricket Club in 1998. Since then, the club has been known as Prudhoe & Stocksfield RUFC.

We run 1 adult grade rugby union team who currently play in Durham & Northumberland 3, the ninth tier of the English National League system.

We have a committed squad of players, varying in ages from 18 through to late 50s and we welcome players of all abilities regardless of their previous rugby experience.

During the Summer of 2020, our club badge underwent a rebranding for the first time in 22 years, adopting a more modern and prominent look whilst also returning to our roots by re-introducing the inscriptions of ‘Prudhoe Hospital’ and ‘Semper Fidelis’ into the heart of the badge.
