This Saturday sees P&S welcome Wallsend to Stocksfield sports field, determined to complete a season double over the visitors.
In the reverse fixture, played in tough conditions at the beginning of December, P&S staged a strong comeback, scoring 3 tries in the last 15 minutes to claim all 5 points. Wallsend currently sit at the bottom of the league without a victory, however they have run TDSOB and Yarm close in their most recent fixtures, losing 11-18 and 27-28 respectively and therefore cannot be underestimated.
Another strong squad is at the disposal of Chris with options all over the pitch including 6 front row players! Lewis Reekie returns having missed the defeat at Blyth, and James Jordon is available strengthening the back row. In the backline, James Bradshaw, Marcus Sewell and Graham Crosby all return, adding valuable pace to an already exciting attacking set of backs.
This Saturday also marks the final P&S match for Gerry Robinson who has regularly shone getting plaudits from fellow players and officials including getting into a team of the season at both flanker and hooker! Hopefully, he can leave having played a part in one final victory.
Kick off is at the earlier time of 1.30pm on the back pitch at Stocksfield cricket club, leaving plenty of time for a 60 strong contingent from the club to get into Newcastle for the Big One.
