Welcome to PRFC U6's
At Pullborough RFC we aim to ensure that the kids play in a safe, enjoyable, friendly but also a competitive environment. Our first aim is always the children's safety and enjoyment, but we do try to get them to move up at the end of the season having understood the basics of the game and so during our sessions we play games that are fun but also that nurture the basic skills required for mini rugby - a weekly 'player of the week trophy' adds something of an incentive too!
We are also keen to teach the children to develop the disciplines and sportsmanship that we all know Rugby is unique for, and so we ask that the parents work together with the coaches to develop the team's adherence to codes of conduct.
Our coaches are CRB, checked, have first aid qualifications and are constantly aiming to develop their rugby qualifications through the RFU certified courses. It's a lot to do for volunteers though and more coaches are always welcome.
We very much hope to see you at Freelands soon.
You will find the U6 coaches Anton, Arabella, Steve and Shayne at the bottom right field at Freelands every Sunday morning - rain or shine!

2 days agoThis week the U6's travelled to Cranleigh for an away session and despite the half term break, it was great to see so many faces keen to get on with their rugby after the enforced cold weather break.

23 days agoAnother great morning of rugby was had by all 32 eager players today. It certainly was a morning of keeping warm, with the 3.5C keeping everyone's hands chilled.

29 days agoWe had a fantastic session this week and after our regular Bull Dog warm up we divided the children into three smaller groups with each group concentrating on different key skills. In the 'coach to coach' drill the children in the red team put together almost 200 passes - an astonishing amount at this age so well done everyone.

1 month agoA biting wind and heavy frost greeted us this Sunday - as did an almost empty clubhouse as most age groups travelled to Hove for some shared training.
