U18 Girls win Worthing 10's
Pulborough U18 Girls finish the season in style with a classy performance at the Worthing 10's
With a whole weekend of rugby and pseudo-tour activity to potentially cover in a match report, perhaps the rule of 'what goes on pseudo-tour, stays on pseudo-tour' is best applied.
Suffice to say that after having won the inaugural "Jess Breach Cup' on the Saturday (a tough 29 - 24 win over Old Albanians), the Borough girls then went on to put in a classy performance at the 10's festival semi-final against Ellingham & Ringwoood to win 32 - 0, before cantering out against a tough Beccehemians side to win 29 - 5 with some style.
It is worth mentioning that one slip against Cobham, where the Borough girls suffered their first defeat of the season in their first match of the day, before regaining their composure to cruise through to the final. Perhaps a testament to how good the PRFC dinner dance was the night before.....
So lots of good play.... many tries scored by many people.... lots of it hard to remember.
The whole girls section put on a good performance throughout the weekend, delivered by the players performing well in all age groups, and the parents leading the charge on the dance floor.
Bar diving and dance-offs went on until late, with an outstanding performance from Chloe that is sure to make this weeks County Times as she single-handedly saw off the attempts of one-trick Bishop from Medway, before being reminded of her crippling knee injury.
Thanks go to Worthing RFC for organising such a great event, and booking the sunshine.
