CHILD PROTECTION POLICY STATEMENT
GOOD PRACTICE AT PURLEY CRICKET CLUB

The Club aims to create an enjoyable environment for all juniors who wish to take part in all sports and social activities at the Club.
The Club emphasises that young people have the right to be safe, secure and free from threat
The Club acknowledges that young people have the right to be treated with respect and for their concerns to be listened to and acted upon
The Club will ensure that junior members have specific programmes and facilities designed for them, with adequate supervision
The Club has procedures in place to help any young person who requests help and support on a confidential basis, in relating to Child Protection and that all Cricket coaches have at least ECB Level 1 qualifications
The Club will ensure that the Head tennis Coach holds a full LTA Coach Licence and other coaches and coaching assistants in all sports are either Licensed or have signed the club self declaration form in relation to Child Protection
The Club will ensure that any club members and volunteers working with young people are aware of and apply the Associations Code of Conduct for Those Working with Children in Sport, and have signed the club self declaration form in relation to Child Protection
The Club will nominate an adult member to be specifically responsible for young people. In 2009 this person is Ian Glassington
The club will ensure that all managers, coaches and club officials have a current CRB Form and that the serial numbers are posted with the club office
The club will ensure that their welfare officer works closely with the County to ensure that the Welfare Officer is fully trained and advised of all current welfare procedures both nationally and locally.
