Purley Sports Club, The Ridge, Purley, Surrey CR8 3PF
The Ridge is arguably the finest ground in the county with a pitch that was given the highest marks in terms of quality in last seasons Surrey Championship First Division. We have also hosted numerous Surrey 2nd XI games here over the last few years which has only augmented our growing reputation within the County. This has often enabled us to attract top quality players to the club and helped produce the large number of quality home-grown players we currently have at the club. Furthermore the Surrey Women's 1st X1 will be using the Ridge as their training headquarters this season for the first time which will attract the best female players to join our ladies' teams. This season we will be one of the first clubs to film a lot of our cricket at the ground, providing individual analysis for our players on their performances.
On Saturdays the 1st and 2nd X1 play their home games here on mostly alternate weeks. (i.e. if the 1sts are at home then 2nds will play away and vice versa). There is a large square which also allows the club to host many matches throughout the year for our thriving colts section.
Most Sundays at the Ridge will host either the Men's Trust League and Development games, or the ladies' 1st and 2nd X1 games. The Trust and Development games will give important opportunities for our younger players to gain invaluable experience in playing competitive adult cricket.
The Purley Redoubtables ladies sides will play most of their home league games here.
