Parents and Supporters Code of Conduct
We are very happy that your child has entered the game of netball and as such the club is sure that you will want to support them. All parents and supporters are welcome, however it must never be forgotten that the game of netball is first and foremost for the enjoyment of the players.
With this in mind please be aware of the following:
Respect all players, coaches and officials.
Do not swear or show aggression at any person present, during training or games.
As a parent you should be aware that the club has a child
protection policy, it is available for you to read. Should you become aware of any bad practice towards players, if you have a concern don't ignore it. Report it.
Any and all information is treated in the strictest confidence.
Do not allow your child to play on an injury and do not force your
child to take part in netball if they are not happy. Netball can be a very physical game.
Encourage your child to play within the ruless of the game.
Ensure that your child has adequate clothing, equipment and refreshments to play safely each and every game. The coaching staff can and will stop any child from playing who has not arrived with the proper kit including appropriate liquid refreshment. This is for the player's protection.
Please familiarise yourself with the clubs regulations concerning photographs and filming of the younger members. If you have any concerns regarding your child being photographed or filmed whilst playing, please speak with either the coach or a representative of the club.
If you have any observations on the club, the game, coaches and players please speak with a representative of the club. All feedback is greatly appreciated.
