Kiwi Jonny Lash made a stunning Shropshire County League Premier Division debut taking 6 wickets including a fantastic hatrick in a successful weekend for the green and golds.
Worfield were put into bat and were restricted to 125 thanks to Lash who recorded figures of 6-32 from his 15 overs. Jimmy Arbuckle provided support taking 2-12.
In reply Qcc lost four wickets chasing down the target with Adrian Evans (47) and Craig Jones (23) seeing the side home.
Qcc went into the National Village Cup game with one change due to Jonny Lash being ineligible. However, this made no difference to the outcome as the home side cruised to a 90 run victory despite being put into bat.
Not for the first time Craig Jones (43 not out) supported by Terry Hughes (31 not out) rescued the innings and enabled a defendable 180 to be posted.
In reply Worfield were never really at the races with the Qcc bowlers taking control. They were eventually dismissed for 90 with Jimmy Arbuckle taking 4-19.
The 2nds travelled to Worfield and recorded a 17 run win in a superb game of cricket.
